Philippines: Copra turns softer again The Philippine copra market continued its decline from early January.…
Next week is Easter Holy Week in the Philippines, a traditional holiday period and therefore all of Primex’s factories will close from Monday.
Primex will ship all its completed materials in containers, this weekend as usual.
Factories are due to re-open Tuesday 14th April after the Easter Weekend.
However, Davao City has now introduced a full quarantine, and although Primex’s factories in Davao are outside the main zone, this will affect staff.
At the moment we do not know what the situation will be on the 14th April, some quarantines are due to come to an end in the Northern Islands after Easter, but there is uncertainty, some believe that the state of the economy and other factors will force the quarantines to be partially lifted. But we simply do not know what will happen.
