Palm oil this week has been firming up on slowing crops and upbeat demand. Also Soya prices have been rising this week as rains have slowed harvest in America so firming up the market there. The question is just how long can this run last and how high can the market go. Coconut oil has started to rise on the back of these other edible oils rising above the $1500 level. Could $1600 be broken by the end of the week?
Desiccated prices have been also firming up last week as origins notice a tightening of supply and continued demand. Whilst the increases have been small so far if the situation does not change we might see prices pick up at a quicker rate.
