Palm and Lauric oils Congress has begun today in Kuala Lumpur which will see about 2000 of the industries most influential people meeting to discuss the market. However we need to wait for Wednesday afternoon for Dorab Mistrey report on pricing to get a feel for where the market might be headed. For now the market is quiet with little being done until traders return to work. Coconut oil has weakened last week a little on thin trading. Again this week should be quiet as everyone waits for POC to finish.
Desiccated has been weaker last week again on thin trading as most watch and wait. Tales of stock piles in Indonesia and rejections Indonesian product are also helping to keep prices weak. But there are buyers out there watching and waiting to cover the 2nd quarter.
