GLOBAL OILS INTELLIGENCE Philippine Coconut & Food Oils Market Briefing US-Israeli strikes on Iran (28…
Crude oil prices have rallied recently which has pushed prices higher but this in turn could now push up production as oil companies look to start drilling again on some sites. Edible oil prices have taken a down turn as recent increases have leveled off as Soya prices have dipped as traders consider a potential glut in supply for both oils. Coconut oil remains above the $1100 on the back of these recent increases but could now weaken again slightly.
The real factor with desiccated seems to be improving supply of raw nuts which is helping ease production issues which have dogged the market for 12 months now. But equally demand has started to pick as lower prices appeal to buyers. Will the two equal out or will one overtake the other? But coconut is ever more popular these days so demand is staying buoyant.
